Mid & West Wales
Fire and Rescue Service

Overview
Gigawatt Industries, in partnership with Pod, has delivered a new network of EV charging stations for Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. With sites now energised across Glynneath, Lampeter, Pontardulais, Abercrave, Newcastle Emlyn, Llanidloes, Builth Wells, Rhayader, and beyond, this rollout supports the electrification of the emergency fleet. The project ensures vehicles remain charged and ready to respond while advancing the Service’s commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Scope of Work
Charger Installation
Our team installed numerous twin 7kW AC chargers across several Mid and West Wales sites, providing reliable charging solutions to support the transition of emergency service vehicles to electric.
Civil Engineering Services
Comprehensive groundworks included excavation, trenching, and the construction of reinforced concrete bases to house and support the charging units and associated infrastructure
Site Reinstatement
Following installation, all disturbed ground, surfaces, and finishes were carefully reinstated to their original condition, maintaining the integrity and appearance of each site.
Testing & Commissioning
Each charger underwent thorough inspection, testing, and commissioning to verify performance, safety, and reliability before being handed over for operational use.

Key Features
