1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Gigawatt Industries Ltd ("Gigawatt", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 13860442, registered office: 9 Thorne Road, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom, DN1 2HJ, handles data in connection with our internal software application that integrates with Intuit QuickBooks Online (the "Application").
2. Scope
This policy applies to data accessed and processed by the Application when it connects to QuickBooks Online via Intuit's API. It does not cover Intuit's own handling of your data, which is governed by Intuit's privacy policy.
3. Information we access
Through Intuit's API, the Application may access business and accounting data held in QuickBooks Online, including company information, customers and contacts, invoices, estimates, payments, products and services, and financial reports. To connect securely, we also store the OAuth authentication tokens provided by Intuit. We do not collect or store payment card numbers, bank account login credentials, or similar sensitive payment details.
4. How we use this information
We use the data solely for our own internal business operations — creating and issuing invoices, financial reporting, reconciliation, and related accounting tasks. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.
5. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and administering our business, and/or to perform our contractual obligations, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
6. How we store and protect it
Data is stored securely, with access restricted to authorised personnel. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS, and authentication tokens are held in secure, restricted storage.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties, except: (a) Intuit, as the source platform; (b) service providers strictly necessary to operate the Application, bound by confidentiality obligations; and (c) where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
8. Data retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is securely deleted.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
10. Disconnecting the Application
Access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the Application within QuickBooks Online (Settings → Apps). Once disconnected, the Application can no longer access your QuickBooks data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
